I have to acknowledge this may be the hardest category on this site for me to curate. Should I judge a book by its cover? Probably not, though this category sure presents beautiful representations.
As I’ve stated on other pages, I do not read all the books recommended here, but I do read, a lot. Notwithstanding, sci-fi, magic, fantasy are not my first picks when I extend my arm towards a bookshelf to pick a book.
My imagination runs with a very good sci-fi movie. I’m intrigued by the future of humanity and its exploration of the space and beyond. As a child I was a Star Trek fan, still am. I saw my share of Star Wars, Gallactica and Alien movies in my day.
As to Fantasy stories I enjoyed Harry Potter, though I have to admit I never read one of the books. Lord of the Rings, also saw the movie. So, as far as stories go, my fantasy and sci-fi knowledge has to be translated onto the screen, I guess.
Enjoy these titles. Come back often, for I will be suggesting many titles as often as possible, and who knows? Maybe I will have a book brief on a sci-fi/fantasy or magic book next time. You can visit Book Briefs on this page at any time.
