Trying to forget her dead husband and his murdered mistress, Jan Crawford lives a solitary life and writes popular novels. After going through a lot of sorrow and frustration regarding her husband and several mysteries surrounding him and his death, she returns to the same house every summer, a cottage on a Florida beach in search of solitude, inspiration, and upliftment. In midst of finishing her latest work she meets Tim Evans, a man on a journey of self-discovery. A one-night-stand threatens to become something more, challenging Jan and Tim to decide between a lifeless marriage and forbidden love. Troubled by waves of regret, deceit and passion, Jan may decide to save love for later.
George Crawford and Cassandra Davis are dead. Four years ago, Jan thought she and George were happy, until he died unexpectedly. As all his secrets surfaced, she found out he was tied to the local beach psychic and to her murder. Their deaths have haunted Jan, and now the police believe the case of Cassandra’s murder isn’t closed after all.
Still Learning to Love is Jan’s journey in understanding human nature and the true meaning of love. The path she takes teaches her that sometimes love is comfortable but also often love hurts. Trying to cut the strings and curses of her past, Jan returns to the scene of the crime seeking to define her future. That’s when Tim Evans shows up at her door, but he’s the wrong person to love.
Still Learning to Love is set in the backdrop of appealing ocean life in sultry and friendly New Smyrna Beach. This novel is a contemporary fiction romance with a twist of mystery and suspense.
